Yes, summer weather in Cape Town and the region is wonderful (but beware of the “Cape Doctor” – the south-easter wind – which can also ground the Cable Car for a day or two!). I live in nearby Paarl, and if you were to concentrate on the “less travelled” places you will meet interesting people who will show you around and help you experience unique local South Africa attractions such as the great variety of local cuisine, heritage stretching back through the ages right up to the stone age, amazing floral diversity, and much more!

I only had ostrich once but it had a texture like steak. I can’t imagine ostritch meatballs.
