I really like this blog. I have done a considerable amount of international travel and can report on some of the most interesting and beautiful destinations. For articles on this blog, I would like to see more off the beaten path interests. For example, the famous “Fern Grotto” is hidden only a mile from Ocho Rios and most visitors don’t know it is there.

Really after reading your post all these topics are awesome. We are partial of course to off-beaten places, so anything you can post on locales that are away from the tourist scene will be greatly appreciated. At the same time, we have just gotten into astronomy “again,” so any and all articles to do with “places” that make great astronomy lookouts around the world would be cool.

Travel gear/equipment would definitely be useful. For example, I could really have made use of a tailored “survival kit” for the trans-Mongolian and trans-Siberian railway. Fortunately I had two short legs, followed by one three-day leg so I had worked out most of the things I needed for the three-day leg. The one thing I failed to take was enough reading material!
