:) looks like you had fun, I live here in Rotorua and find it great that people have a good experience.
On your trip did you learn much about the Maori Legends and beliefs? Perhaps the story of Hinemoa and Tutainikai? He played music across the lake to his one true love Hinemoa who was beautiful and of Nobel-blood but he was not. So they made a secret plan to be together one night to come, Tutanikai would play his music over the lakes gentle waters (as he lived on the island in the middle of the lake) that night and hinemoa would conoe over to meet him and they would finaly be together and to be married. But Hinemoas people thought they were planning something so they hid the canoes. So when Tutanikai played his music she did not come and he grew unsure on their love.....

New Zealand is a fantastic place to visit, I can't recommend it highly enough. It's one of the truly few unspoilt places left where you can get away from it in wonderful surroundings
