Readers of the Road Less Travelled Blog will have noticed several articles published in the last few months were written by Guest Writers.

Although I’ve travelled to quite a few places in several countries (considering I’m only in my mid 20’s), I realised that I couldn’t give readers a bigger perspective about the many interesting places to see around the world without asking other people to write about their experiences living, working or travelling abroad.

This is a list of Guest writers who have kindly written articles for publication at the Road Less Travelled Blog (In order of most guest articles written):

If you’ve travelled somewhere off the beaten track, can write well and have good quality photos I encourage you to contact me and I’ll consider publishing your travel diary here

  • Benefits for You: If you have your own website you can include relevant links back to your website in the article as well as show off your photography skills.

If you don’t have a website of your own I can link to another link of your choice eg: your Linkedin.com profile page.

In either case you can also write a paragraph or two describing yourself at the bottom of the article. I allow guest writers much more generous attribution and thanks than other websites do.

  • Guest Writer topics: My sites theme is “the Road Less Travelled” so preferably guest writer articles should be about travelling to places off the beaten track, backpacking, bush walking, trail walking, hiking, working as an expat or living in places which don’t get much publicity
  • Article length: Can be as short as a few hundred words, or as long as a few thousand words. It’s up to you to decide how to tell your story.
  • Photos: You can use your own photos from your digital camera and I’m happy to link to your online photo gallery or I can source appropriate photos to use in the article
