Favorite Five Meme

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed, read my most popular articles or learn more about Neerav Bhatt.

Andrew from On Blogging Australia tagged me with the Favourite Five meme.

To participate I have to:

  1. Post 5 links to 5 of my previously written posts relating to the 5 keywords : “family”, “friend”, “yourself”, “your love”, “anything you like”
  2. Tag 5 other acquaintances who blog to do this meme. Try to tag at least 2 new acquaintances so that I get to know them each a little bit better.

My five previously written posts relating to the five keywords are:

  1. Family - I wrote a post recently about Why 4WD / SUVs are Terrible Family Cars prompted by a quote from British motoring Journalist Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear fame
  2. Friend - I met my new American friend Forrest through a comment he made on my monthly wallpaper photo post. I replied to his comment by email and after a few more emails it turned out that we have common interests in taking holidays in the wilderness and landscape/wildlife photography.
  3. Yourself - My “About Me” page covers all the details. Furthermore it has been rated by Snoskred as a great example for other bloggers to follow
  4. Your Love - I’ll interpret that as “things that I’m passionate about”

Two areas which definitely qualify are Politics and the Environment which I’ve written several blog posts about over the years including recently How One Person Can Make a Difference which explains why I was the Greens candidate for Werriwa (2007 federal election) and Menai (2007 NSW state election) if I knew it would take up so much time which lost me business income and I wasn’t going to “win”.

  5. Anything you like - My post How I Earn Lots Of Money By Blogging covers all the questions people ask me when they find out I earn enough money from blogging not to have to do a full time 9-5 job.

Now I have to tag 5 blogging acquaintances to do this meme, here goes:

  • Scott Yang - he runs Oz Bargain Blog and I like the site motto “Because we are cheap” :-) since like him I try and get maximum value for my money
  • New: Andy an Australian expat who writes interesting article about Investing and Finance topics
  • New: Peter Black - From his posts I know he’s interested in many of the same things as me eg: Australian and US Politics, the media, Daily Show & Colbert Report etc but it would be interesting to know more about him
  • New: Forrest Croce - because he doesn’t have an “About me” page with general background info
  • New: Snoskred - writes blogs about Life in the Country and combating fraudsters. I found her blog via the Top 100 Australian Blogs Index
