Founded in 2007, over the years Road Less Travelled Blog has grown to become one of Australia’s top independent travel/photography blogs, well respected for its fiercely independent editorial stance which enables writers to write critical articles about their travel experiences without fear or favour.
Road Less Travelled Blog is entirely independent, has been profitable since it’s first day and is self funded by founder and owner Neerav Bhatt.
The site offers a selection of Travel Tales, Reviews and Photos from places around the world off the beaten track.
The site continues to grow, delivering between 1.1-1.45 million pageviews/year in 2008 and 2009 in conjunction with its bigger sister site Rambling Thoughts Blog.
The majority of website traffic to Road Less Travelled Blog is due to it’s articles ranking highly in search engine results. Social media and internet forums are significant secondary sources of traffic.
Articles cover a variety of locations around the World including Africa, Asia / Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North and South America as well as Remote Places & Round the World Trips.
60% of Road Less Travelled Blog readers during 2009-2010 were from outside Australia, over 190 other countries in total (mostly North America, Europe and Asia) so the content has broad international appeal.
